Adolescent Immunizations: Give It a Shot! - with CE
Amy Middleman, MD, MSEd, MPH Chief of Oklahoma University Adolescent Medicine will discuss current ACIP recommendations for adolescent vaccines, explain the benefits of adolescent vaccines, and provide best practice strategies to improve vaccination rates in clinics
Participants will be able to implement one new strategy to improve adolescent vaccination rates in their clinic.
In August 2013, Dr. Middleman joined The University of Oklahoma Health Science’s Department of Pediatrics as Section Chief, Adolescent Medicine. She is board certified in adolescent medicine by the American Board of Pediatrics. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree at Yale University and medical degree at the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Medicine, Philadelphia. Dr. Middleman completed an internship and residency in Pediatrics at the Children’s Memorial Hospital, Northwestern University, Chicago. She earned a Master of Science degree in education at the University Of Pennsylvania Graduate School Of Education, Philadelphia, and a master of public health degree at Harvard School of Public Health, Boston. She also completed a fellowship in Adolescent Medicine at the Children’s Hospital, Harvard University, Boston. Dr. Middleman is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine, North American Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology and the Society for Pediatric Research.
To receive 1.25 nursing contact hours, participants must watch the entire webinar and complete the webinar evaluation. Upon completion of the evaluation, participants will be issued a certificate of completion.
